Sunderland 2026-27 Away kit by Hummel Revealed

Sunderland 26/27 Hummel Home Kit

Sunderland Association Football Club and hummel have unveiled the Sunderland 26/27 Away kit, created as part of the club’s collaboration with the Elvis Presley Estate and Authentic Brands Group.

Sunderland Kit Design & Inspiration

The new Sunderland jersey uses a pink and black colourway linked to Elvis Presley’s early breakthrough years, with the main body and sleeves presented in pink. A black upper chest and shoulder panel runs across the front and back, paired with a pink polo collar and black buttoned placket.

A tonal embossed pattern appears across the fabric, featuring 1950s-inspired motifs and repeated SAFC detailing. The Sunderland crest is applied in a matching pink finish on the chest, with the hummel logo placed opposite in the same tonal style.

Inside the collar, the shirt includes the words “Can’t Help Falling in Love With You”, alongside club and Elvis details. The song has long been associated with Sunderland supporters and is sung before matches at home and away.

Classic Kits

The reverse continues the pink base with black detailing across the upper back, where the same phrase is also printed below the collar. The shirt is released without front-of-shirt branding and will be sold at retail in that form for the 2026-27 season, with supporters able to add the club’s future front-of-shirt partner once announced.

The new Sunderland football shirt is paired with matching pink shorts, featuring tonal club crest and hummel branding, and pink socks with darker hummel chevrons and contrast detailing at the foot. It will be used during the 2026–27 Premier League season.

This is an absolutely amazing piece of marketing. The link up with the Presley Estate is a masterstroke by SAFC. The design, based on Elvis' suit, is brilliant too. Linking the fans' anthem with the away kit; just perfect.

Wrong on so many levels. Who at Sunderland thought this was a good idea and signed it off?
