German Bundesliga side VfB Stuttgart have unveiled their new Away shirt to some fanfare.
From Jako, the red-and-black-hooped creation actually nods to the equivalent adidas change release in the 1997-98 and 1998-99 seasons, also boasting a partial white band where the Mercedes-Benz Bank logo sits.
Including perfectly faithful elements and this German brand’s own flourishes, a similar jacquard to the original is included as well as very adidas-y trim to the collar, while the crest is in full colour and the supplier’s own wordmark is placed on the opposite side.
The, in effect, 25th anniversary shirt will be combined with black shorts and red socks with white turnovers in 2022-23.
