Reading Football Club and Macron have unveiled the Reading 26/27 Third kit.
Reading Kit Design & Inspiration
Referencing the strip worn during the club’s 1993-94 Division Two title-winning season, the new Reading jersey combines yellow and red horizontal bands with irregular brush-style edges across the front, back and sleeves. A tonal jacquard pattern runs through the fabric, adding further detail within both colours.
Black is introduced through the polo collar and sleeve cuffs, with narrow red edging providing additional contrast. The Reading crest retains its traditional colours on the left chest, opposite a yellow Macron Hero, and the Mr Vegas shirt sponsor appears in black across the central red band. A crown graphic is positioned beneath the rear collar, continuing a detail used across Reading’s 2026-27 kit collection.
The colour combination recalls the third shirt worn by Reading during the 1993-94 campaign. The Royals opened that season in yellow and red away at Huddersfield Town, winning 3-0 through goals from Mick Gooding, Jimmy Quinn and Stuart Lovell. Reading went on to secure the Division Two championship, sealing the title with a 2-0 victory against Brighton & Hove Albion at Elm Park.
