Manchester United Football Club and adidas have unveiled the Manchester United 26/27 Away kit, introducing a blue strip for the 2026-27 Premier League season and UEFA Champions League campaign.
Manchester United Kit Design & Inspiration
Drawing inspiration from the club’s 1986-88 Third kit, the new Manchester United jersey uses a Royal Blue base with tonal wavy stripes extending across the front, sleeves and back. The pattern references the River Irwell, which runs through Greater Manchester.
A V-neck collar combines blue, white and red, with matching striped trim applied to the sleeve cuffs. Red adidas three stripes run across the shoulders, and the white adidas Trefoil appears on the right chest. The full-colour Manchester United crest is positioned opposite, with Snapdragon shirt sponsor presented in white across the centre.
The rear remains blue with the tonal pattern continuing across the panel, providing a clear area for white player names and numbers. An Authentic Licensed Product badge is placed near the lower front hem, with short side openings completing the construction.
Technical Features
The Authentic version uses lightweight, body-mapped 3D engineered fabric designed to support movement and fit during play. Adidas CLIMACOOL+ technology is incorporated to manage moisture and improve airflow, with strategically positioned ventilation zones added for breathability.
The replica version is produced using Climacool technology, which wicks and disperses sweat to support cool, dry performance. The slim fit and V-neck create a streamlined silhouette, while the double-knit fabric provides durability.

Royal blue shorts accompany the new Manchester United football shirt, featuring red adidas side stripes and a white Trefoil. Blue socks with red bands around the upper section, white “MUFC” lettering and adidas branding complete the full Manchester United Away kit.
