Manchester City Football Club have unveiled the Man City 26/27 Third kit by Puma, created through the PUMA AI Creator platform and selected from designs submitted by supporters around the world.
Manchester City Kit Design & Inspiration
The new Manchester City jersey has a white base with two vertical bands running down the centre. One is dark navy and the other sky blue, with tonal gradient sections used through the stripes. The bands extend from the V-neck down the front of the jersey, with additional dark blue and sky blue panels positioned towards the lower sides.
Dark navy is also used for the Puma logo on the right chest and the Etihad Airways shirt sponsor. The Manchester City crest retains its standard colours on the opposite side, and the sleeve sponsor is presented in navy. Inside the neckline, repeating “A.I. CREATOR” lettering references the process used to design the design.
The shirt design was created by lifelong City supporter Elliott using Puma’s generative AI platform. Launched in December 2024, the system allowed fans to produce football shirt concepts through written prompts and editing tools. More than 180,000 designs were submitted by users from over 200 countries, followed by 1.7 million ratings. Ten designs reached the final public vote in January 2025 before Elliott’s concept was selected.
Technical Features
The Authentic version uses lightweight ULTRAWEAVE fabric, alongside dryCELL and ThermoAdapt technologies for moisture and temperature management. It is manufactured with at least 50 per cent recycled material.
The Replica version uses Puma RE:FIBRE technology and is produced from 95 per cent recycled polyester sourced from textile waste.
Full Manchester City 3rd Kit details
The full 3rd kit pairs the new Manchester City football shirt with dark blue shorts, featuring the club crest on one leg and a white Puma Cat on the other. White socks complete the strip, detailed with sky blue and navy horizontal bands around the calf, a navy Puma logo and grey sections at the heel and toe.
