The German Football Association (DFB) and adidas have launched a special edition football shirt to mark the federation’s 125th anniversary.
Inspired by the iconic 1974 West Germany World Cup-winning shirt, the jersey features a clean white base with a subtle pinstripe pattern, contrasted by black sleeve cuffs and a round collar. The adidas Trefoil logo appears on the right chest, while a commemorative DFB badge sits on the left, accompanied by a tonal eagle engineered into the soft jacquard fabric. A sign-off above the hem pays tribute to the plaque commemorating the DFB's foundation in Leipzig, while a small woven German flag is stitched into the back of the collar.
The kit includes matching black shorts and black & white socks, maintaining the classic German football look. A wider anniversary collection accompanies the release, inspired by historic adidas designs. Germany’s men’s national team will debut the kit on 20 March against Italy in the UEFA Nations League, with the women’s team set to wear it in April.
