Coventry City 2026-27 Home Kit by Hummel Revealed

Coventry City 26/27 Hummel Home Kit

Coventry City Football Club have launched their 2026-27 home kit by hummel, the club’s first Premier League home strip in 25 years.

Coventry City Kit Design & Inspiration

The new Coventry City jersey takes inspiration from the club’s 1987 FA Cup-winning side and the celebrations that followed in the city. A deeper sky blue base is combined with white vertical stripes, with fine navy pinstripes running between the panels as a reference to the 1987 shirt.

The sky blue sections feature a four-tone jacquard pattern, influenced by scenes from Coventry city centre when the FA Cup returned home. Navy detailing appears on the collar, with matching hummel chevrons placed on the shoulders. The hummel logo is applied in yellow on the right chest, opposite the full-colour Coventry City crest.

Monzo appears as the front-of-shirt sponsor in coral across the centre of the jersey. On the back, the stripe layout fades into a more open sky blue finish to allow space for names and numbers. A stylised “1987” detail sits below the rear neckline and is also used inside the neck tape.

Technical Features

For the Pro shirt, Coventry City and hummel use a 100% polyester drip jacquard fabric with a lightweight 150-160gsm build. The shirt includes performance-focused detailing, upgraded trims and a full-colour silicone club crest.

For the replica shirt, hummel use a lightweight Hive jacquard fabric made from 100% polyester, with a 140-150gsm build. A woven flock club crest completes the supporter version, linking the design to one of Coventry City’s most important moments.

Wish it was more traditionally sky blue for the first year back in the prem, but it’s not a poor execution - and my theory is it’s to appease Monzo, who’ll want their logo in brand colours on the home shirt for once.

Not sure about the collar and the shade of blue but decent enough.

I prefer Coventry more with pure Sky Blue and without stripes but this is a decent effort on the 1987 FA Cup shirt.
