Aberdeen Football Club and Macron have unveiled the Aberdeen 26/27 away kit, the first change strip released since the start of the new technical partnership.
Aberdeen Kit Design & Inspiration
The new Aberdeen jersey uses a white base with red and black detailing. A black crew-neck collar is finished with red trim, with matching black sleeve cuffs and red edging. Red piping runs from the shoulders and down the body, framing the front and continuing onto the back.
The shirt features an embossed graphic inspired by the glazed façade of the Sir Duncan Rice Library at the University of Aberdeen. The pattern is worked into the fabric, referencing the building’s mix of transparent and opaque glass panels.
On the chest, the Macron Hero appears in red on the right, with a red Aberdeen crest and two stars on the left. TEXO is applied as the main front sponsor. “THE DONS” appears on the outer back neck, while the internal backneck includes club colours, Aberdeen FC branding, the Macron Hero and “Designed in Bologna”.
Inside the lower hem, a red customised tape carries Aberdeen’s historic motto: “Happy to meet, sorry to part, happy to meet again, Bon Accord.”
Technical Features
Eco Everton fabric gives the Aberdeen away shirt a reflective finish and visual depth, referencing the look of 1990s match kits. The material is made from 100% post-consumer recycled polyester, in line with Macron’s Eco Fabric approach.
The shirt has a Slim Fit cut, with an Eco Mesh James rear panel and Eco Softstripe inserts added for lightness, comfort and breathability in match conditions.
Full Aberdeen Away Kit details
The new Aberdeen football shirt is completed with white shorts carrying the same embossed graphic and white socks finished with a black band and red detail to form the full secondary strip for the 2026-27 Scottish Premiership season.
