West Ham United have launched their Umbro trainingwear collection for the 2020-21 season.

The stylish range generally keeps things simple, with a clean approach to the polo shirts, shorts and jackets in particular. The tertiary white of the playing kit is generally eschewed - the sponsor, Betway, occasionally appears undyed - so claret with subtle blue embellishment (including monotone crests), and vice versa, is the overall approach.

En Avant Guingamp have launched their new, 2020-21 Home and Away kits from Umbro.

The French Ligue 2 side will wear a red shirt with black sleeves and a slim black vertical stripe and, when required to change, a white shirt with a textured diagonal sash in black and red. Both shirts have full-colour crests and the legend “Tous Ensembles, Toujours En Avant” - all together, always forward - on the upper back.

The new strip has been manufactured by Errea and will once again be sponsored by HomeServe. The away kit features colours that are synonymous with Walsall and the Black Country.

Nike have released a new pre-match/warm-up style “short-sleeve football top” shirt for Chelsea.

The shirt features heavily-stylised navy/white and blue/navy hoops, with the Nike Swoosh in white and the Stamford Bridge side’s crest in full colour. The Three (3) logo doesn’t appear, and this may also determine whether or not some fans take up this alternative design in preference to one of the new playing shirts.

Along with the announcement of Hummel’s new partnership with Merseyside Premier League club Everton FC, and the Toffees new 2020-21 Home kit, the Danish brand have released a fetching pre-match/warm-up shirt.

The block-textured shirt has the unmistakable blue colouring of the famous side - along with Hummel’s logo, chevrons and new “Cazoo” sponsorship logo - but the usual secondary use of white stretches to plain raglan sleeves. Too controversial for playing wear, but an alternative for the fans that will hopefully grace Goodison Park stands in the not-too-distant future.

The new 2020/21 away shirt has a pale blue base colour, covering the shoulders, sleeves and deep ribbed v-neck and sleeve cuffs. Featuring an all-over graphic, that started life as a hand-painted design, the new Town shirt is certainly a design that will catch the eye. A sharp blue contrast adorns the adidas logo, adidas signature 3-stripe branding, Ipswich Town club crest and the new chest sponsor branding of Carers Trust.

When we think of Puma in a football design sense, we may generally think of boots. This catalogue from 1977 suggests that was even more the case four decades ago.

The puma flash motif appears on all these examples, with Berti Vogts-endorsed versions having this feature in amber and light blue. All the boots are black in the main - it was 1977, after all - but the white appears heavily on the Weisweiler Champion model, and the (Jupp) Heynckes Meister has a little green embellishment too.
