DC United 08/09 Adidas Home football kit

This is the DC United 08/09 home kit with the new Volkswagen Logo on the shirt. DC United announced a five-year partnership agreement that will see the two brands join forces in a landmark deal that includes Volkswagen's logo on the shirts of the most successful team in the history of American professional soccer.

"The 'brand' we put on our jersey is extremely important to us," said United Co-managing Partner Victor MacFarlane. "We believe that the D.C. United brand stands for something significant and the 'brand' on the front of our jersey has to be compatible with our vision. Volkswagen fulfilled and exceeded our wishes. They are a company committed to excellence and customer service with an international reputation for both. Will Chang and I are delighted they have become our new partners."

Because the VW logo is small and narrow, the Adidas logo centered makes it look awful and uneven. Adidas has been on tear with some terrible new shirts.

United are dying for a more interesting away shirt. Plain white isn\'t cutting it anymore.

I like the white shirt better, and I think the VW logo should have the blue between the letters on the black shirt.
